The perfect hiker's stop off point for a trip into the Peak District. This 1 acre private site offers panoramic views of the surrounding lush farmland, plush shower and dishwashing facilities for a comfortable stay. The site is next to a pub offering the well recommended local drinks. The site is halfway along the Gritstone Trail making it an excellent resting point.
A word from the host: We love to welcome visitors in our traditional pub, we hope you enjoy your stay!
Prepare for: Check the weather, campervans and motorhomes may have trouble on the field when muddy so make sure to book a hardstanding pitch if the weather's wet! There is little natural cover from the elements so check the forecast and prepare your clothing and tents appropriately.
Rules:
Adults Only, age 25 and over. No large groups. Dogs must not be loose on the campsite. No fires on the grass, raised barbecues are welcome.
Public transport: None
Nearby shops and eateries: The Wild Boar no longer serves meals, however the Rose and Crown down the road to the east does.
