Lochranza Campsite is a 3 star campsite situated in a mountain glen. As you enter the campsite you will find yourself in a bowl-shaped area of flat ground surrounded by steep hillsides where red deer graze, golden eagles fly and where mountain burns tumble down to the sea. There is movement-activated lighting outside the reception building and washrooms but the campsite is otherwise unlit for the best possible night sky. Lochranza Campsite consists of two acres of flat grassland bordered by a burn, Chalmadale Waters, on one side and Lochranza Golf Course on the other. A main gravel track leads to a long section of gravel hardstanding divided into six motorhome or caravan pitches. This area is situated approximately 100m away from facilities. A smaller gravel hardstanding area, comprising two motorhome or caravan pitches, is situated close by the washrooms. We also have two large grass pitches adjacent to our facilities which remain firm except in the wettest weather.
